Pizza Worthy Margherita Pizza Recipe

Ingredients:
1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
1- 24 ounce jar of August Peak Red Pomodoro Sauce
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, torn or thinly sliced
Fresh basil leaves
2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
Cornmeal, for stretching the dough
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Sprinkle cornmeal on a circular aluminum pizza pan to prevent sticking.
Lay the preformed 12-inch pizza dough on the pan, stretching it as needed to fit the pan evenly.
Add the Sauce:
Ladle the Red Pomodoro sauce onto the dough.
Spread the sauce evenly in a circular motion, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
Add the Toppings:
Evenly distribute the torn or thinly sliced fresh mozzarella over the sauce.
Reserve the fresh basil for later to maintain its flavor and freshness.
Bake the Pizza:
Place the pizza in the preheated oven.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
Finish and Serve:
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the pizza.
Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil for added flavor.
Cut the pizza into 8 slices and serve immediately.
